Thank you for visiting
my website. Most of my photographs have been taken in South East Asia over
the last 15 years.
I first visited the area on holiday in 1980. I returned in 1985 and spent
three years travelling around Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia on a 500cc
Honda Silverwing motorcycle shipped in from England.
In 1990, i set up a business publishing and distributing scenic postcards
around Malaysia. Tourism in the country was just beginning to flourish and
as i enjoyed being in South East Asia, it seemed a logical step to allow
me to keep contact with the area.
Over the years i have been involved with a number of photographic projects
including the following book publications. Fascinating Malaysia, Penang -
Island of Contrasts, Discover Malaysia and two recent Sunspot souvenir photo
guides on Cameron Highlands and Langkawi.
The equipment i use has obviously changed over the years. The 35mm photos
are taken on Canon cameras and lenses. The medium format on Bronica. Film
is mainly Fuji Velvia, with some Kodak Elite Chrome and earlier photos on
Kodachrome 64. The only filter used is a polarizing filter.
